Hi everybody! I hope everyone’s feeling better after their St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans! The city was insane this weekend and I was of course happy to be away from it all. It was my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and we decided it was best to stay in our hood to celebrate. Today, I wanted to share 2 trends that I’m absolutely loving and haven’t had a chance to rave about: Plaid blazers and embroidered jeans. I love em both, so I combined them! I love finding affordable pieces that I know I’m going to wear for years to come. For a long time, shopping at Forever21 was a nightmare for me (still is depending on location). I hated buying clothes there because I knew they’d shrink or fade after one wash. Recently, I’ve decided to give them another try because I see no point in spending hundreds of dollars on trendy clothing that may not hold up for more than a season. Y’ALL: let me tell you. They’ve improved SO much! Especially their online selection! They now have slightly more expensive pieces that are better in quality. Don’t get me wrong, they still have a large selection of garbage, but amongst all that garbage there are gems! I was very pleased with the plaid blazer I got from them.
Recently, I went HAM at Lord & Taylor in both their men’s and women’s clothing sections. The sales there are always amazing, especially at the end of a season! I love that they’re never stingy with their coupons like other department stores are (yeah, that’s directed at you Macy’s). I normally don’t buy statement jeans, but I could not pass up these $20 (could you believe it??) embroidered Levi’s I happened to find at L&T. The boyfriend fit is perfect, and they are so cute! Hope you enjoyed this look, see outfit + makeup deets below!

I’ve been trying to wear less makeup more recently to get ready faster and I’m loving it! I’m wearing less eyeliner nowadays and also ditched the highlighter for casual days. Unless I’m going somewhere fancy, there’s really no need for highlighter. Not to mention I have oily skin, so the glow happens all on its own! The only products worth mentioning are the Too Faced chocolate gold palette (absolutely love), Lancôme Monsieur mascara, and my trusty Kat Von D Lolita liquid lipstick.
P.S. it was a very windy day, that’s why my hair is going crazy in this next set of photos.
